About this site
CostaRicaShuttles.com is an independent comparison site for getting around Costa Rica by road. It is not a transport company.
What this site is
One place to look up a Costa Rica shuttle route — Liberia (LIR) and San José (SJO) airport transfers, city-to-city shuttles, and private drivers — see roughly how long the drive takes, and compare the options that can actually be booked for it.
What this site is not
We are not a shuttle operator, a tour operator, or a travel agency. To be specific, this site does not:
- own or operate any vehicles
- employ, contract, dispatch, train or vet any drivers
- take bookings, hold reservations, or process payments
- set prices, schedules, pickup times or cancellation terms
- run a call centre or a support desk
Nobody here will meet you at the airport. If a page ever reads as though we will, that is a mistake — please tell us.
How the listings work
The list of routes is maintained by us. Everything bookable on a route page — the products, prices, availability, ratings and cancellation terms — comes live from Viator’s API and belongs to Viator and the operator listed there.
When you book, you leave this site. Checkout, payment, confirmation, changes and cancellations all happen on Viator, and your contract is with Viator and the operator — not with us. We never see your payment details.
If a route has no verified listing, the page says so and leaves the space empty. We do not fill it with unrelated tours.
How the site is funded
Affiliate commission. If you book through a link here, Viator may pay us a commission at no additional cost to you — the price is the same as going to Viator directly. Full detail on the affiliate disclosure page, and how listings are chosen is on the editorial policy page.
What we can and cannot help with
We can fix something wrong on this site — a missing route, a bad travel time, a broken link. Use the suggest a route form.
We cannot help with an existing booking. We have no access to reservations, no ability to change or cancel one, and no line to the operator. Anything to do with a booking has to go to Viator or the operator named on your confirmation.
