The short version

CostaRicaShuttles.com participates in the Viator affiliate programme. If you follow a link from this site to Viator and book, Viator may pay us a commission. You pay the same price you would pay going to Viator directly — the commission comes out of Viator’s margin, not out of your fare.

Which links are affiliate links

Every outbound link to viator.com on this site is an affiliate link. That includes:

• the “Book on Viator” button on each shuttle listing
• the “Search this route on Viator” link shown when we have no verified listing for a route
• the private driver links
• the “things to do” tour cards on route pages

Each carries our partner ID and a fixed campaign tag so Viator can attribute the booking. Links to anywhere other than viator.com are not tagged and earn us nothing.

What the commission does not change

The order of listings is not for sale, and no operator has paid to appear here. Products are ranked by how well they match the route you are looking at — the destination first, then the departure point — and a small number of transfers we have checked by hand are pinned to the top of routes where the automated match was unreliable.

Commission rates do not vary meaningfully between Viator products, so there is no version of this where a higher-paying listing is worth promoting over a better match. The editorial policy describes the ranking in more detail.

Who you are actually buying from

Not us. The booking is between you, Viator, and the operator listed on Viator. We do not take payment, hold your reservation, or have any ability to change it. See the terms and the about page.
